What counts as a billable call

Tool Billable Why
search_company yes Searches the KBO denomination index.
get_annual_accounts yes Fetches and parses a filing, or serves it from cache.
check_xbrl_availability yes Lists a company's filings from the NBB register — the same NBB call as the others.

Quotas are per calendar month and reset on the 1st. Both plans allow 30 requests per minute per key.

Questions about billing

What does the alpha mean for me?

Everything is free and the monthly quota is not enforced — calls are counted, never refused. The per-key rate limit stays, because it protects the data source rather than revenue. When the alpha ends, the quotas above start applying; nothing is ever charged without your explicit signup.

What happens when I run out of calls?

Tool calls return an error explaining that the monthly quota is reached, with a link to upgrade. Nothing breaks and no key is disabled — the next month starts at zero again. During the alpha this does not happen at all.

Do I get a proper invoice?

Not yet: the payment flow is still being built, so nothing is charged and no invoice is issued today. When it goes live, every payment gets a VAT invoice, and Belgian business customers additionally receive a structured e-invoice over Peppol — what domestic Belgian B2B invoicing has legally required since 1 January 2026.

Can it read filings that exist only as PDF?

That is the paid plan's headline feature, and it arrives with the launch: an LLM reads the PDF into the same JSON shape, 50 fresh reads per month, and a filing anybody already had read is served from cache for free. Until it ships, PDF-only filings fail with the stable error code pdf_fallback_required, and check_xbrl_availability tells you which years are machine-readable instead.
